“How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for their own personal growth?” - Carl Rogers
Leila (she/her) believes that the therapeutic relationship can foster meaningful personal growth and lasting change. Having completed an internship at the William Alanson White Institute, Leila utilizes a psychodynamic and psychoanalytically-informed approach.
She creates a warm, thoughtful space for clients to slow down, better understand themselves, and explore the patterns that shape how they think, feel, and relate to others. Leila enjoys working with individuals who experience anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt, or feel stuck in recurring patterns in their relationships with themselves and with others. Therapy can offer an opportunity to develop greater self-awareness, cultivate a more compassionate relationship with oneself, and gain insight into how past experiences influence present ways of relating.
Warm, empathic, and collaborative, Leila views therapy as a joint process of exploration and growth. Her style emphasizes curiosity, insight, and the therapeutic relationship as an important part of creating meaningful change.
