“But part of getting to know yourself is to unknow yourself—to let go of the limiting stories you’ve told yourself about who you are so that you aren’t trapped by them, so you can live your life and not the story you’ve been telling yourself about your life.” - Lori Gottlieb
Lily (she/her) views psychotherapy as a collaborative journey of exploration that honors the complexities of identity, relationships, and life’s inevitable transitions. She is committed to creating a therapeutic space where clients feel empowered to examine established patterns of thinking, cultivate deeper self-compassion, and develop lasting resilience.
Currently completing her second year in the Master of Social Work program at Columbia School of Social Work, Lily brings her academics and real-world experience to her practice. During her previous placement at a New York City high school, she provided individual and group counseling, specializing in LGBTQIA+ affirming care while addressing concerns around anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual violence, substance abuse, and relationship dynamics.
Lily is particularly passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities. She integrates psychodynamic principles with an anti-oppressive framework, and she believes that effective therapy not only addresses individual symptoms, but also acknowledges the broad social context that shapes our lived experiences.
