"A person is a fluid process, not a fixed and static entity; a flowing river of change, not a block of solid material." -Carl Rogers
Yamilet offers holistic, person-centered therapy that honors the full complexity of who you are. She creates a warm, collaborative space where you can feel supported, understood, and free to explore your experiences with openness and curiosity.
Grounded in psychodynamic and culturally responsive care, Yamilet tailors her approach to each individual, drawing from modalities such as mindfulness-based therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She also values the deep connection between language, identity, and emotional expression, and offers sessions in Spanish for those who feel more comfortable speaking it.
Yamilet earned her Master’s in Mental Health from Manhattan University and has experience supporting young adults and individuals navigating life transitions, identity exploration, and uncertainty. She is passionate about working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community and individuals across a wide range of identities and backgrounds, including different races, ethnicities, cultures, and lived experiences.
